The Sun's not yellow it's chicken

JTEM whining about this & that, plus the secrets of the universe and the occasional chicken recipe.

The part you left out was how Reagan was at that time the single most fiscally irresponsible President in America’s history. He went on to produce massive deficits, doubling the national doubt and then doubling it again.
Reagan’s “Good” was offset by severe negatives. The economy grew, sure, but one out of every four Americans grew poorer, poverty rose and large numbers from middle America saw zero or modest gains. Almost all the growth was limited to the top one-third, the higher up you went the better they did.
Bill Clinton easily bested Ronald Reagan. There was no comparison. By any and every measure you can think of — inflation, economic growth, wages, the stock market grew & poverty SHRUNK — Clinton surpassed Reagan by a very wide margin, and he did it with higher taxes, fiscal sensibility and without hurting anyone. Even the rich did better under Clinton.
There is a better way. Clinton showed you. The only question remaining is if Conservatives are men or if they will cower from admitting their error. Seriously, guys, the experiment is over. We’ve had 12 years of tax cuts for the rich, and they simply have not worked. It’s time to admit that you were wrong and Clinton was right. Be men. Borrow a pair if you have to, but be men. It’s yourself and your families who have been suffering because you’re not men enough to admit the truth. Be strong for them. Sacrifice for them. You always claimed that you would, and now is the time to do it.
