CLASSIC 1977 PONTIAC TRANS AM

Are you ready for this?  I lied.  This isn’t a 1977 Trans Am.  It’s a replica.  It’s the “Burt Reynolds Edition” replica of the classic Pontiac, just like the one used in the movie “Smokey And The Bandit,” and it’s built by a company calling itself “YearOne.”

Prices start at about $130,000.

If that seems a bit high than consider this:  Not only is it one of the coolest looking cars from the 1970s — but it’s brand spanking new — it’s upgraded quite a bit from the original. They come with an all new interior (though I personally think an “Authentic” interior would be better) and instead of an over-sized but underpowered 70s vintage V8, these things come with a monster 7.0 Liter engine pumping out more than 500 horsepower and gobs of torque.

A 605 H.P. and a 650 H.P. engine are available as options.
