CONSERVATIVES BEHIND GLOBALIZATION, ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

facelessfilosofem:

Wait, where has the left fought globalization and one world government? I’ve mostly seen them being in favor of it (with the EU and all). Still, I’d love to see the existence of left-leaning nationalists, if only to prove that nationalism crosses political lines.

I have no idea what to say that could cure you of your partisan blindness…

Every G8 summit is met by an enormous anti globalization protest, without exception.  And these are leftist.  They have a powerful anti corporatist element, clearly identifying them as leftist.

The same is true for the “Occupy” movement:  Clearly leftist (anti corporatist) and vocally anti globalization.

The right, the conservatives, on the other hand, are staunch supporters of globalization.  It was President Bush himself — Republican — who declared “The New World Order,” a phrase that the right has been desperately trying to associate with the left ever since, even as they try to implement it.

It’s scary, but reality is almost always 180 degrees off from what Republicans believe…
