How many people do you think died in the Iraq war and occupation?  Bush himself conservatively estimated some 30,000 civilians, a figure which his own government was quick to reject as too low.  And that was LONG before Bush left office.  Yet, only now do Republicans pretend to care about civilian causalities.

We all know you won’t be caring as soon as Obama is gone.

The present drone strikes are being conducted under the Bush doctrine.  They continue under Obama and they will continue under a President Romney.  They are not going away.  Not ever.  In fact, they will only become more common as the technology advances.

The genie, having been released, is not going back inside the bottle.
