To your post about the issue of pay inequality for black men being less than the pay of women: you never mentioned black women! Even though they are apart of both of these groups, they are often excluded from discourse about their groups' issues. I just wanted to point about that you happened to do it as well.
You’re right, and it was intentional. The post was far too complicated and long winded as is, and if I expanded further I might’ve achieved critical mass.
The person I was responding to specifically mentioned black men, so I limited my remarks to black men.
For the record: There’s lies, damn lies and statistics. It’s extremely easy to “Prove” anything you want using statistics. For example, as far as racism and wage disparity goes: The top earners in our society aren’t white people, they’re Asians. And they’re way over represented in colleges.
Race isn’t the barrier that some people want it to be.
