I know when I deserve to be treated like shit and this isn’t one of those times.
Done surrounding myself with emotionally manipulative people.
Shove a sock in it, sparky.

They were in a war of annihilation. The “Arabs” declared war on them. The “Arab” armies (plural) were already on the move BEFORE your “Nakba.” Four Muslim countries — Iraq, Egypt, Syria & Jordan — declared war on them, promising to wipe them out of existence.
So, tell us, lying your ass off, pretending that Israel was the aggressor here (a “numerically superior” aggressor, no less) accomplishes… what?
We know what it accomplishes. It feeds into your victim mentality, your victim identity.
It’s certainly not going to help the situation any.
I mean, if you idiots believe your own lies, say, in the example of the “Numerically Superior” Israelis, for example, then the obvious solution would be to simply show up with more men than the Israelis.
Right?
If the “Arabs” got their asses kicked because the Israelis out numbered them, then all they have to do is make sure they out number the Israelis and they win.
Makes sense.
Only that wasn’t the problem. “Numerically superior” Israelis didn’t run around bullying Arab-identified people off the land. The Israelis were heavily out numbered and out gunned. They were fighting for their very existence against an unmerciful enemy, one that declared war on them.
The “Arabs” lost because they did a lot of things wrong, the most obvious of which was giving the Israelis no other options. They had to win. Defeat was not an option. They had no place else to go, they knew death as a people and if they had to die they could just as easily die fighting as be slaughtered.
You worship a god of lies who rewards your deceit with victimhood.
Grow up already, you pathetic antiSemite.

The Levant, north Africa: They aren’t “Arab.” The Arab crusades supplanted the identities of the native peoples — languages, customs and (of course) religions — but not the people themselves. Genetically, the people of the Levant are pretty much descendants of the people who lived there long before the Arab conquest of the region.

I think you’re crazy if you want us in Syria.
Look: The United States is always attacked for everything it does and everything it doesn’t do. Thus, no matter what course we choose the assorted revolutionaries, poseurs & professional contradictionists are going to complain. We might as well chose what’s easiest & cheapest for us.
…in this case that would be NOT getting involved.
The government of Syria sucks. At the same time, the lunatic religious wankers that would replace the present government would also suck. From our perspective it’s a damned if you do/damned if you don’t situation, but at least if we don’t get involved we’ll save a lot of money & bother.
So screw Syria. There are no “Lines” to be crossed, not as far as any of us are concerned.
You’re assuming that religious zealots will replace Assad no matter what. That is not true, there are secular democratic parties in Syria and they helped lead the opposition against Assad when protests first began. .
Yes I am assuming that the same thing we’ve seen every other time a secular middle eastern government has been toppled will also occur this time.
In fact, one common definition of “Insanity” is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results… expecting the secular middle eastern government to NOT be replaced by religious zealots, for example.
And again you’d be wrong. Tunisia is not an Islamic state after its people protested and replaced the government.
NOTE: It’s *Way* too soon to pass judgment on Tunisia. But, elections will be held later this year, and as of now the largest seat holder (by far) in the assembly is the Islamist Nahda party, with just shy of 3 times as many seats as the next largest party — the Nahda party had previously been banned for terrorist activity.
So, yeah, it __Is__ easy to lump all these “revolutions” together, just like you said…
P.S. Tunisia isn’t actually “Arab.” It’s Berber. True, the Muslim crusades did pretty much suffocate (to death) the indigenous cultures which it conquered — supplanting the language & identity of the people — but the genetics never changed. North Africa is still primarily Berber, and has been since… well… always. In fact, the Berber are often described as some of the closest remaining ancestors to the Cro Magnon…
Time to cry about the “Native Americans” and those darn Europeans, right?

It’s close, so we swung by the infamous “Franklin Street,” where they caught “Suspect #2.”
(Pardon the pun, but is that a shitty name or what?)
Anyhow, they still have it closed off. I don’t know why — searching for a gun, something they missed… maybe an unnamed third party (who knows) — though the most likely answer is that they’re just trying to dissuade tourists & the curious.
