You’re taking what would be natural allies to reform and making them enemies.  Any model that allows you to do that is a stupid model.  You’re placing your dogma — your strict adherence to outmoded ideas — ahead of actually accomplishing something useful. 

NOTE:  The Soviet Union collapsed before you were born.  Your “Kulaks” were not only decades out of date by then, but they demonstrated MY point and the futility of your dogmatic approach.  After all, the demonizing of your “Kulaks” and their persecution led directly to a massive famine that killed anywhere from 3 to 8 million going by popular estimates.

She isn’t arguing that they should be underfed and uncomfortable.

So it’s an excessively poor choice of words, and a really dumb idea to choose such a quote.

Hindsight is no gift, kitten.  The time & place to take a stand against Bush was BEFORE he was anointed an unelected President.  But of course you were still a Bush sycophant back then, still had your nose wedged tightly up his ass cheeks…

No amount of complaining now can wash away the stink from supporting Bush back then, back when there was still time to do something about it, still a chance to avoid all the mistakes.

You were on the wrong side, Andrew Sullivan.  You helped Bush get away with it.  You and the other media shrills that sang his praise and defended him.
